Pup Houses in the Plaza Display

A beloved community event is returning, but with a new look! Habitat for Humanity of Smith County is excited to announce, ‘Pup Houses in the Plaza,’ a creative reboot of ‘Playhouses on the Plaza.’ With hopes of reaching a broader audience than ever before, HFHSC is excited to spread the mission of Habitat while also incorporating our community’s organizations currently serving man’s best friend(s) – our pets! In previous years, our playhouses have adorned the T.B. Butler Fountain Plaza over the duration of the event week, but this year we will be displaying the dog houses within the Plaza Tower Atrium. This eliminates many challenges that the outdoors can bring, and we’re so grateful for this partnership with Plaza Tower. We plan to host our Kick-Off Event on Friday, April 12, 2024. During this event, guests can view the dog houses and cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award! The houses will then be displayed in the Plaza Tower Atrium until they are auctioned off at our Celebration Gala on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Event times and locations TBA.
