Tyler Community Band Concert
The Tyler Community Band, directed by Mr. Neil Smith, presents its annual fall concert on Saturday, November 6 at Southern Oaks Baptist Church at 5 p.m. The program includes "Abracadabra" by Ticheli, Whitacre's "October" and a concert overture for winds by Alfred Reed, "The Hounds of Spring". Other pieces on the program are "American Overture" for band by Jenkins and Grundman's "Concord". "Fright Night" by Kazik includes music from the Addams family, "Jaws" and "Night on Bald Mountain". "One-Eyed Chicken" aby band member Kelly Bennette and Sousa"s "The Thunderer" complete the program.
