About Us
The East Texas Youth Orchestra (ETYO) is a non-profit organization that provides young East Texas Musicians with high-quality orchestral instruction and significant opportunities for performance. Each year, they seat approximately 100 musicians in their five ensembles, performing four concerts of various repertoires. Additionally, numerous smaller ensembles will perform in community events across the East Texas area. Musicians range in age form 7 to 22, exhibit both racial and economic diversity, and are all serious musicians, receiving private training in addition to involvement in their school music programs. These ensembles rehearse weekly and are challenged to achieve excellence in their skills and to strive for the highest level of musical performance.
